In the run up to COP26 being held in Glasgow, our #26days26ways video series will showcase the different practical measures that Scottish farmers are taking to reduce their farm carbon footprint and mitigate climate change. Alongside all of the other changes that farmers can make to improve productivity and efficiencies, carbon sequestration has a big role to play within Scotland’s route to Net Zero carbon emissions. Managing soil to improve organic matter and incorporating agroforestry by planting and benefitting from the right trees in right place will help to sequester carbon and reduce the farm’s carbon footprint.
