It will tell you:

  • Which personal information we will collect and use

  • How we will get this information
  • How long we will store it for
  • Whether there are other recipients of your personal information

We are the controllers for any personal information you give to us.

What type of information we collect

We will only collect and process the following personal information:

Your name, contact details, farm business name, photos and videos, age, gender and whether you are a tenant farmer or owner.

Lawful Basis for Processing

The lawful basis we rely on to process personal data for the above purposes is article 6 (1) of the UK GDPR:

  • (a) Consent - you have given us your consent
  • (e) Public task - the processing of personal data is necessary to enable the Scottish Government, National Farmers Union Scotland, SAC Consulting, Quality Meat Scotland and Soil Association Scotland to carry out a task in the public interest – facilitating the ABCC Network

How we get the information and why we need it

The personal information we process is provided to us directly by you, either when you’ve discussed this information with one of our partners or when you contact us directly by e-mail.

We need this information to develop and share content for the ABCC Network about the climate and environment actions you have taken on your farm or croft and to monitor the diversity of our membership.

You can request to have your information updated or removed from the webpage and our records at any time.

Who we will share your information with and why

We will only use the information that you have given us to us to develop and share content for the ABCC Network about the climate and environment actions you have taken on your farm or croft and to monitor the diversity of our membership.  This information will not be shared with any other organisation. There is a data sharing agreement in place between Scottish Government and National Farmers Union Scotland, SAC Consulting, Quality Meat Scotland and Soil Association Scotland.

Only your name, farm business name and any photos and videos you share will be made publicly available as part of the information shared through the network. We will only use your address to identify in which area of Scotland your farm is located, and that area will be included in the information shared through the network. We will share this information on the ABCC Network webpages and through social media and so your information will be available globally.

Your age, gender and whether you are a tenant farmer will only be used for monitoring the diversity of our membership and will not be shared with anyone or any platform other than the partner organisations for the ABCC Network.

Your information is securely stored in encrypted digital files with highly restricted access.

We will keep your personal information for up to 1 year after the completion of the network project and may contact you to ask for your help in evaluating the project.
